Kate Hall (born May 21, 1983 in Harwich , England ) is a Danish - British singer , presenter and vocal coach living in Germany .

Life

Hall grew up in Allerød as the daughter of a Danish father and an English mother from the age of four . As a child she took singing, piano and dance lessons. At the age of twelve she was accepted into the Danish Radio Girls Choir . A year later she made her first studio recordings for the British animated series Postman Pat . She gained experience in television as a presenter for the Danish music channel Voice TV .

Hall's breakthrough as a singer came after she was discovered by German music producer Alex Christensen . With the single Is There Anybody Out There? Produced by Christensen ? it reached the German charts in June 2005. Hall was engaged to singer Ben from 2006 to 2008 , with whom she recorded four singles in 2007 with the titles Unconditional , You are like music , I still love you so and Two hearts . She worked in the 7th, 8th and 10th seasons of pop stars in Germany and in the 1st season in Austria as a vocal coach . Hall has been with the dancer and choreographer Detlef Soost since May 2009 . The couple is married and had a daughter in 2010. The family lives in Berlin-Mitte .

In 2010 and 2011, Kate Hall was a vocal coach in an episode of Cartoon Network's high profile and accompanied the young talents on their way to their first appearance in front of a large audience. In 2011 and 2012 she hosted two seasons of the children's talent show Cartoon Network D! Together with Detlef Soost . Hall of Fame at the commercial broadcaster Cartoon Network . In January 2013 Kate Hall took part in the Danish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song I'm not Alone . In 2013 she was a candidate in the VOX series Celebrity Shopping Queen . Her book Weight Loss Yoga: Relaxed to the desired weight was published on December 19, 2017 . In May 2020 she took part in the Free European Song Contest for Denmark and ended up in last place.
