Caitlin Sinclair "Cate" Hall (born September 19, 1983 in Tucson , Arizona ) is a professional American poker player . She was named Player of the Year by the Global Poker Index in 2016 .

Personal

Hall grew up in Tucson. She learned to play cards from her grandmother at the age of seven and played chess from elementary school . While in college, Hall began playing the online role-playing game World of Warcraft . She later did a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and philosophy . After graduating, she worked for a company in New York City for two years and then moved to Washington, DC There she was with the appellate court for four years .

Poker career

Hall has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2015 .

In July 2015 she was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em the money. At the end of September 2015, Hall reached the final table at the main event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in Hanover and finished the tournament in fifth place for just under 60,000 US dollars in prize money.
