Kathleen "Kathy" Elizabeth Hilton (* 13. March 1959 in Whittier , California as Kathleen Elizabeth Avanzino ) is an American actress . She is married to the hotel heir Richard Hilton and the mother of the society girls Paris and Nicky Hilton .

Life

She was born to Larry Avanzino, of Italian descent, and Sharon Kathleen Dugan, a German-Hungarian American (1941-2003). Her parents later divorced and her mother married Ken Richards (1938–1998). Her maternal half-sisters are the actresses Kim Richards (born September 19, 1964) and Kyle Richards (born November 1, 1969). She also has two half-brothers and four half-sisters from a later marriage of her father.

On November 24, 1979 she married Richard Hilton , with whom she has four children: Paris Whitney (born February 17, 1981), Nicolai "Nicky" Olivia (born October 5, 1983), Barron Nicholas (born November 7, 1989) and Conrad Hughes Hilton (born March 3, 1994). Her daughters Paris and Nicky keep appearing in the gossip columns and the rainbow press .
