Katie Findlay (born August 28, 1990 in Windsor , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .

life and career

Katie Findlay was born in Windsor , Ontario in August 1990 . She grew up on the west coast of Vancouver . She learned ballet for twelve years until she had to give up this passion due to a back injury. She is of Portuguese, Chinese, British, and Scottish descent.

She got her first role in a television series in Fringe - Borderline Cases of the FBI . She then starred as Emily in the TV movie Tangled in 2010. Guest roles followed in the television series Psych , Endgame and Stargate Universe . She first gained attention for the supporting role of Rosie Larsen in the AMC television series The Killing . In 2012 she made a guest appearance as Lily Jones on the first season of Continuum .

In February 2012, she received a lead role in the sex-and-the-City - prequel The Carrie Diaries of the television channel The CW . There she played the role of Maggie Landers from January 2013 to January 2014 . From 2014 to 2015 she played the role of Rebecca Sutter in the first season of the ABC series How to Get Away with Murder .
