Katja Günther

Katja Günther (born December 29, 1966 ) is a German legal scholar , political official and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). Since 2015 she has been State Councilor of the judicial authority of the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .

Life

After studying law and subsequent legal clerkship in Frankfurt am Main , Vancouver , Speyer and Bonn (1987–1996) Günther was legal advisor and advisor for domestic, legal and women's policy for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament (1996 –1998) and from 1998 and 1999 in the Ministry of Finance and Energy of the State of Schleswig-Holstein . In this function she was legal counsel for the establishment under public law, building management in Schleswig-Holstein. This was followed by positions as head of the legal department and the awarding authority for building management in Schleswig-Holstein (1999–2001) and in the Ministry of Justice, Women, Youth and Family of the State of Schleswig-Holstein (2001–2004). Günther has been a competent member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Kiel and Förde Sparkasse since 2003 .

Between 2004 and 2008, the legal scholar was legal advisor and consultant for administrative and constitutional law in the Ministry of Justice, Women, Youth and Family of Schleswig-Holstein; from 2008 to 2015 member of the council assembly of Kiel , where she was also deputy chairperson or parliamentary group chairperson of the council group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen until 2013 . Günther was employed between 2008 and 2010 as a project "Justice 2010" in the Ministry of Justice, Labor and Europe of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, before she took on the functions of reorganization and restructuring in the personnel administration in the judicial sector as well as the head of the department for "Constitutional and Constitutional Law, International Law "Legal Office", which she exercised from 2010 to 2012. After moving to the State Chancellery of Schleswig-Holstein , the legal scholar became Head of Central Personnel Management.

On April 17, 2015, Katja Günther was appointed by Senator Till Steffen as State Councilor for Justice of the Authority for Justice and Equality of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg in Senate Scholz II . In the course of the reorganization of the division in Senate Scholz II, the gender equality department was transferred to the authority for science, research and equality , and on July 1, 2015, she became State Councilor of the judicial authority . She has also held this post in Senate Tschentscher I since March 28, 2018 .
