The film is dedicated to the biography of the pop singer and consists of various interviews with relatives and acquaintances of the singer, as well as several film clips that show Perry in his childhood and teenage years. Even Lady Gaga , Rihanna and Jessie J are found in the documentation. Excerpts from her then California Dreams Tour , which were recorded on November 23, 2011 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, are used as interim scenes.
