The Kaulenberg is about 545 m above sea level. NHN high foothills of the Hohen Gras ( 614.8 m ) in the low mountain range Hoher Habichtswald in the district of Kassel , North Hesse ( Germany ).
Geographical location
The wooded Kaulenberg, which is surrounded by the Habichtswald Nature Park , is located in the municipality of Schauenburg , immediately east of the border with the municipality of Habichtswald . It is located north of the Schauenburg district of Hoof or south-southwest of the Hohen Gras .
A mountain meadow in the forest, 130 m wide and a maximum of 600 m long, extends a mean 280 m northeast of the Kaulenberg summit.
Below the hilltop, where a section of the Hercules Path leads past, there are rocky mountain slopes to the south, which lead to a mountain spur ( 520.3 m ; ⊙ ) and to the origin of the “Small Bauna” (“Rear Bauna”) below , the left or northern source stream of the Fulda tributary Bauna . To the east flows past in a north-south direction the "Rehgraben" coming from Hohen Gras, which is a tributary of the "Kleine Bauna".
About 580 m south-south-east of the Kaulenbergkuppe there is another spur ( 443.7 m ; ⊙ ) between "Kleiner Bauna" in the west and "Rehgraben" in the east and a little beyond or south of it runs between the interchanges Kassel - Bad Wilhelmshöhe in the east-southeast and Zierenberg in the northwest is the federal highway 44 .
