Kazimierz Gurda (born August 20, 1953 in Książnice Wielkie , Poland ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Siedlce .

Life

Kazimierz Gurda studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminary in Kielce . He received on 11 June 1978 with the Bishop of Kielce , January Jaroszewicz , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Gurda became vicar in Pińczów and Bieliny . He then continued his studies at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome . There Kazimierz Gurda obtained a degree in patrology in 1985 . In 1988 he became a doctor of theology doctorate . In 1989 Gurda became spiritual at the seminary in Kielce. In 1996 he became pastor of St. Joseph's parish in Zagnańsk . From 1996 to 2004 Kazimierz Gurda was Regens of the seminary in Kielce.

On 18 December 2004. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Chusira and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Kielce. The Bishop of Kielce, Kazimierz Ryczan , donated him episcopal ordination on February 5, 2005 in the Cathedral of the Assumption in Kielce ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Radom , Edward Materski , and the auxiliary bishop in Kielce, Marian Florczyk .

On April 16, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Siedlce.
