Kazimierz Klimek

Kazimierz Klimek (born January 30, 1934 in Poland - † April 16, 2019 ) was a Polish geographer , geomorphologist , university professor and author .

Life

After graduating from high school , he studied at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and graduated in 1957 with a master's thesis Ewolucja geomofologiczna dorzecza Silinki, Bieszczady . In the years 1957–1959 he worked as a research assistant at the weather service , then from 1959–1960 as a teacher in an elementary school in Krakow. Since 1960 he worked as a research assistant, assistant and lecturer at the Polish Academy of Sciences employed (Polska Akademia Nauk), received his doctorate there in 1965 to the doctor, then habilitated he in 1971 Extraordinary and in 1991 to full professor . From 1992 he worked as a professor at the Silesian University (Uniwersytet Śląski) and was full professor at the Chair of Paleontology and Paleoecology of the Quaternary (Katedra Paleontologii i Paleoekologii Czwartorzędu) in Sosnowiec .
