Kerschenbach is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of St. Veit an der Gölsen in the Lilienfeld district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 99 building areas with 57,357 m² and 117 gardens on 374,089 m² in the cadastral community of Kerschenbach , in 1989/1990 there were 103 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 234 and in 2009/2010 there were 150 buildings on 235 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 634 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 540 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 634 hectares and 567 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 627 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 560 hectares. The average soil climate number of Kerschenbach is 26.5 (as of 2010).
