Career
society
Like his two brothers, Kevin Mac Allister began his career with the Argentinos Juniors . He made his first-team debut on February 27, 2016 in a game against Estudiantes de La Plata . In the rest of the 2016 season, he came to three more missions, but had to relegate his club to the second-rate Primera B Nacional . In the following season 2016/17 he made 16 appearances in the defense chain of the Juniors, who achieved immediate promotion to the top Argentine league . He scored his first competitive goal in the Bicho jersey on March 31, 2018 in a 3-1 away win against Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata .
On January 28, 2019, he moved to the top Argentine club Boca Juniors in a loan deal until the end of the 2018/19 season , where his father Carlos Mac Allister had already played for four years. He only made two appearances for Boca in the remainder of the 2018/19 season. After coming to a short stint in only one of 16 league games, Mac Allister returned to the Argentinos Juniors in January 2020.
Private
Kevin Mac Allister comes from a family closely related to the Argentinos Juniors. His father Carlos already played over a hundred appearances for the capital city club as a professional footballer and also completed three appearances in the Argentine national team. His uncle Patricio was also a footballer for the Juniors, as did his older brother Francis and his younger Alexis . While Francis is still under contract with the Bicho , Alexis signed with the English first division club Brighton & Hove Albion in mid-January 2019 , but is under contract with the Boca Juniors as a loan player.
Due to his name similarity to the film character Kevin McCallister from the movie Kevin - Home Alone , he became an internet phenomenon after joining the Boca Juniors .
