Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak ( Arabic خلدون المبارك, DMG Ḫaldūn al-Mubārak ; * 1975 in Abu Dhabi ) is an entrepreneur from the United Arab Emirates .

Live and act

Al Mubarak was born in Abu Dhabi but grew up in the United States , where he received a degree in Economics and Finance from Tufts University in Boston .

As a businessman, Al Mubarak mainly deals with construction and real estate management . His first job was as sales manager for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company . He was then hired by the UAE Offsets Group , and he was able to hold a number of important positions within the company. Since then he has also been Vice Chairman of Dolphin Energy and CEO of Mubadala Development Company , the state-owned company of Abu Dhabi. The company owns shares in Ferrari , AMD , the Carlyle Group and General Electric , among others . In 2005 he was appointed Vice President of the Abu Dhabi leasing company Oasis International Leasing. Through his position at Mubadala Development, he is also one of the chief executives of the Diabetes Center of Imperial College London (ICLDC), which opened in Abu Dhabi in 2006, Vice Chairman of Piaggio Aero and Vice-Chairman of LeasePlan . He is represented on many boards of directors , for example ALDAR Properties , the Emirates Foundation and the First Gulf Bank . During the reform of the Abu Dhabi government in 2006, Al Mubarak became Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and a member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi .

Since the acquisition of Manchester City from the Abu Dhabi United Group in September 2008, Al Mubarak has also been chairman of this football club.
