Kim Chol-hyok (born November 12, 1992 ) is a North Korean ice hockey player .

Career

Kim Chol-hyok represented North Korea in the junior division at the U20 World Championships in 2010 and 2011 in Division III.

He made his debut as a 20-year-old at the 2013 World Cup in Division III for the North Korean national team . Also in 2014 he was on the ice for the East Asians in the lowest division. In both tournaments, North Koreans took second place (behind South Africa in 2013 and behind Bulgaria in 2014 ) and thus missed promotion to Division II. In 2015 , Kim and the North Koreans made another attempt towards promotion at the tournament in Izmir . This time, thanks to a 4-3 win after extra time in the decisive game against hosts Turkey, he made it to Division II, where he then played in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 .

At club level, Kim plays for Taesongsan in the North Korean ice hockey league .
