action
The mentally retarded Seymour lives in New York City and is a fan of the New York Knicks sports team . His mother Mona takes care of him; she lives with her lesbian lover Joanne. Mona is a civil rights activist and organizes protests against the brutality of the police.
Seymour witnessed his mother's murder one day. He later meets the perpetrator by chance in the house of his friend Francis. Seymour goes in search of the perpetrators of the attack in order to get revenge.
Reviews
Robert Koehler wrote in Variety magazine on April 24, 2000 that John Leguizamo was imaginative and often daring. The film is " extremely uneven ". It " blooms " at first as a character study, but weakens as the plot takes the upper hand; then it would become melodramatic. Mona's character is interesting, but underdeveloped.

John Leguizamo, Julie Carmen, and Outstanding Film were nominated for an ALMA Award in 2002.
