Annabella Sciorra (* 24. March 1964 in Brooklyn , New York as Annabella Gloria Philomena Sciorra ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Sciorra comes from an Italian-American family and was born in Brooklyn, where she also spent her childhood. There she took acting lessons.

For her leading role in the comedy True Love (1989) Sciorra was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award in 1990. In the comedy Cadillac Man (1990) she appeared alongside Robin Williams and Tim Robbins , in the drama The Affair of the Sunny by B. she played on the side of Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons . In the comedy Mr. Wonderful (1993) she played one of the leading roles alongside Matt Dillon . In the drama Behind the Horizon (1998) she played the role of Annie Collins-Nielsen , the wife of Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams). She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2001 for her role in the television series The Sopranos , in which she appeared from 2001 to 2004 . She also starred as Det. Carolyn Bareck in the fifth season of the television series Criminal Intent from 2005 to 2006 . In 2007 she played the role of the dying Diana Moore in Emergency Room in two episodes .

Sciorra was married to actor Joe Petruzzi from 1989 to 1993 .

On October 28, 2017, she publicly accused film producer Harvey Weinstein of raping her in a New York hotel in 1992.
