Building description

The neo-Gothic brick - facing hall church was built in 1897 by Oscar Mothes . It has a bell tower to the west. The rectangular nave has three yokes . The eastern one is lower and is widened like a transept . This is followed by the drafted choir with a 5/8 end. The interior is covered with a pointed arch, wooden barrel vault , the yoke heels are visible like a belt. In autumn 1950 the tower roof was re-covered. The bells were inaugurated in October 1955.

Furnishing

The furnishings are partly neo-Gothic. The three-winged, carved altarpiece was created by Elly-Viola Nahmmacher in 1964 , as was the crib in 1956 . The organ with 37 registers , distributed over 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1929 by Jehmlich Orgelbau Dresden . The claim circulated in Greiz that the Aubachtal church should be sold. However, the church should not be de-dedicated .
