In 1322 a church was mentioned for the first time. Today's hall church has a square, essentially Romanesque choir tower and an apse with an apse dome . The top floor of the retracted choir tower is octagonal. A bulbous, slate-covered hood with a lantern sits on it. The choir is covered with a Gothic ribbed vault. The nave has three axes and is covered with a gable roof. The flat ceiling in the interior was not installed until after the Middle Ages . In 1834 the church was rebuilt, a name can be found on the inner portal in the west. Two -storey galleries were built on the long sides of the nave . The three-part extension in the west, it serves as a vestibule , was built later. The church furnishings are simple. The organ with 17 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1763 by Popp from Gera.
