The Evangelical Lutheran listed church Schwarzbach stands in the church cemetery of Schwarzbach , a municipality in the Greiz district of Thuringia . The parish area of the church Schwarzenbach is located in the parish of Gera of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The main part of the hall church is of Romanesque origin. It has a retracted, transverse rectangular choir tower in the east, to which an apse with an apse dome is attached. The nave is covered with a half-hip roof. In the interior in the 17th century two-storey, three-sided were galleries built, the parapets have been renewed. It was also covered with a continuous wooden barrel vault, which has since been suspended . In 1899 the tower was given a new end with a curved hood , which is continued in an open lantern , which is crowned with a tower ball and a weather vane . The choir was also refurbished. The church equipment includes a new shrine with six small, late Gothic statuettes of an altarpiece . There are several epitaphs from the late 16th and 17th centuries in the church. The organ was built at the beginning of the 19th century.
