description
The essentially Romanesque hall church was built at the beginning of the 13th century. It has a retracted choir on which the choir tower rises and a semicircular apse attached to it . In the 16th century the tower was raised, in 1765 the nave was enlarged, a hipped gable roof was added and an ornamentally painted coffered ceiling was inserted inside . The portal is in the west. On the south side of the choir there are late Gothic tracery windows , the other windows have basket arches . Pilaster strips were used to structure the walls . The tower has gables with elements of Art Nouveau and two intersecting gable roofs. In 1906 the interior was repainted and a patronage box was installed. In 1991/92 restoration work took place inside and outside. The choir is spanned with a groin vault and has single-storey galleries . The altar dates from 1693, as does the pulpit . Two simple gravestones from the 18th century are in the choir. The organ with 12 registers , divided into 2 manuals and a pedal , was built in 1900 by Jehmlich Orgelbau Dresden .
