Kirschgarten is a small settlement in the Altenhaina district and thus part of the Haina community (monastery) in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in northern Hesse . It is about 1 kilometer south of Altenhaina, on the Schweinfe , between Altenhaina and Halgehausen at the confluence of the district road 104 from Haina with the K 101.
The settlement is mentioned in 1214 as "Kürsgarten" and at that time belonged to the Löhlbach office . Around 1400, she has been to the Official stained Truth duly notarized .
In 1806 the pastor of Löhlbach made a list of souls in his parish and registered in Kirschgarten:
