The Kisselbach is a 5.6 km long tributary of the auditorium in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg in Hesse ( Germany ).
course
The brook has two sources, about 350 m apart, at 528 and 536 m altitude on the southern slope of the toad dome (581.2 m) in Knüll ( natural area - main unit 356), 3.5 km north of Frielingen , a district of Kirchheim .
The western of the two source streams initially runs to the east-southeast and takes in two smaller streams coming from the right, before it joins the eastern source stream after about 600 m, which here, coming from the north, has covered roughly the same stretch of flow. The Kisselbach then runs for about 450 m in a south-south-westerly direction, then turns (not far from the site of an earlier ore wash or ore period ) to the south-south-east, always flowing through a valley with a narrow meadow bottom lined with dense forest on both sides. After about 1 km it takes on a small tributary coming from the northeast in a short side valley between Schnegelsberg and Mittelberg. Immediately to the south of this was the Heiligenborn settlement, which had been deserted since the late Middle Ages, 341 m above sea level .
After a further 1.75 km, the stream leaves the forest area east-northeast of Frielingen at two fish ponds located on the edge of the forest and turns in two long curves first to the southeast and then to the south-southeast. About 1.5 km after passing the fish ponds, he reaches Heddersdorf , which he crosses in a north-south direction, crossing under the federal highway 454 . Finally , the Kisselbach flows into the Aula, a tributary of the Fulda, about 250 m south of the village .
