Klaudia Martini

Klaudia Martini (born December 5, 1950 in Ranna ) is a German lawyer , manager and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1969, Martini began studying law in Heidelberg and Munich , which she completed in 1974 with the first state examination and in 1977 with the second state examination . She was admitted to the bar, worked briefly in this profession and worked as a judge at the Augsburg Administrative Court from 1978 to 1980 . From 1980 to 1983 she was a member of the government at the Neu-Ulm district office. There she was responsible for the areas of environmental protection , waste management , water law , trade regulations , school law and transport . She then worked as a state attorney at the Bavarian State Attorney's Office. In 1985/86 she was a judge at the Munich Administrative Court .

On October 1, 2001, Martini took over the board position for corporate communications at Adam Opel AG in Rüsselsheim . In this role, she was responsible for corporate policy , government relations, internal communications, and corporate and product communications. In 2004 she left the company. Since then she has practiced as a lawyer again.

Political party

Martini has been a member of the SPD since 1983. At times she was chairwoman of the SPD subdistrict Neu-Ulm.

MPs

Martini was a council member of the city of Neu-Ulm and a member of the district council of the Neu-Ulm district since 1984 . In 1983 and 1989 she ran unsuccessfully against the incumbent Peter Biebl for the office of Mayor of Neu-Ulm; In 1983 it came to 42.3 percent, in 1989 to 48.6 percent. She was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1986 to 1991.

Public offices

On May 21, 1991, Klaudia Martini was appointed Minister for the Environment to the government of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate led by Prime Minister Rudolf Scharping and was also a member of the subsequent government led by Prime Minister Kurt Beck . On October 26, 1994, the Ministry of the Environment was expanded to include forestry . Before moving to the private sector, she left the government on September 20, 2001 and was replaced as Minister by Margit Conrad . Klaudia Martini has been a councilor in Bad Wiessee since the 2008 local elections in Bavaria .
