Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle (born October 10, 1950 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German journalist and political advisor . He became known to a wider circle primarily as a personal advisor to Finance Minister Hans Eichel .

After studying economics , history , German and political science at the universities of Cologne , Freiburg im Breisgau and Marburg , Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle began his journalistic work in 1979 in the editorial team of the Berliner Abendschau of the then SFB in Berlin . In 1984 he became head of the ARD-aktuell editorial team at Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main , which also included the Tagesschau and Tagesthemen . In this position, Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle was also responsible for ARD's stock market and financial center reporting. Political activity

Under Prime Minister Hans Eichel, Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle became State Secretary and Spokesman for the Hessian State Government in 1994 . He held this position until April 1999.

From 1999 to 2005 Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle was an advisor to the Federal Ministry of Finance and personal advisor to Minister Hans Eichel. Political and media advisor

From 2000 to 2006 Klaus-Peter Schmidt-Deguelle was also an independent media, political and PR consultant in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main for authorities, management and personnel consultancy firms, the talk editors' Sabine Christiansen 'of ARD and' Berlin -Middle 'of the ZDF, foreign embassies and individual companies.
