Klaus-Peter Thiele

Klaus-Peter Thiele (born December 14, 1940 in Meiningen ; † October 10, 2011 in Berlin ) was a German actor . Thiele was best known for the DEFA film Die Abenteuer des Werner Holt , which premiered with great success in the GDR in 1965 and in the Federal Republic in 1966.

Life

Thiele's father Heino Thiele (1891–1964) was already active as an actor, director and director . His mother was Elisabeth Seiberlich. Klaus-Peter Thiele was born and raised in Meiningen in southern Thuringia, where he also graduated from Henfling-Gymnasium . He graduated from the drama school in Berlin-Schöneweide and after his stage engagements in Parchim (1960) and at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam (1964) belonged to the DEFA ensemble for almost thirty years . Thiele was already known for his first film role, the title character in The Adventures of Werner Holt (1964/65); thereafter he worked in more than 80 film and television productions. Serious roles were often filled with him, but he also played in children's films such as Susanne and the Magic Ring . After the fall of the Wall, Thiele initially worked at theaters in Hamburg and Munich; later he was part of the regular cast of the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek . In Berlin he was last seen at the Berlin Criminal Theater . He also appeared regularly in television series and films. He died of cancer on October 10, 2011. His grave is in the Stralau Evangelical Cemetery .

Klaus-Peter Thiele lived together with the painter Rosemarie Rautenberg; their daughter Valeska Rautenberg (* 1979) also worked as an actor in her youth ( police call 110: death in the park , peanuts - the bank pays everything ). Today she works exclusively as a freelance musician, singer and composer. The estate of Klaus-Peter Thiele, which can be viewed with your permission, has been kept in the Meiningen State Archives since March 2012 .
