Klaus Müller (theologian)
Klaus Müller (born June 23, 1955 in Regensburg ) is a Roman Catholic priest and professor of fundamental theology and philosophy of religion as well as director of the seminar for basic philosophical questions in theology at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .
biography
After studying philosophy and Catholic theology in Regensburg , Rome , Munich and Freiburg Klaus Müller was in 1982 at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Carlo Huber to Dr. phil. PhD. Even as a young seminarian, philosophy was his favorite subject; he dreamed of becoming a "priest-philosopher".
After his ordination in 1984 he was active in the pastoral service of his home diocese in Regensburg , initially at the parish level, later as a pastor of the Regensburg correctional facility and as a spiritualist for students of theology at the University of Regensburg .
In 1992 he took on a teaching position for homiletics at the University of Regensburg.
In 1994 he obtained the degree of a doctorate in theology ( Dr. theol. Habil.) For fundamental theology and religious philosophy at the University of Freiburg and became a private lecturer at the University of Regensburg.
Since 1996 he has been professor for basic philosophical questions in theology and director of the seminar of the same name at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster.
Visiting professorships led him to the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (2003) and to the St. Augustine Millennium Seminary (Dep. Legon University Accra) in Tamale , Ghana (2005). Two more in 2009 to the Karl-Franzens-University Graz in Austria, and to the Facoltà di Teologia di Lugano in Switzerland.
