Geographical location

The hamlet of Kleeberg consists of several farms, which are scattered on the slopes of the 694 m high Kleeberg about two kilometers northeast of Treffelstein.

history

In 1626 Kleeberg belonged to the reign of Andreas Georg von Berlachingen, Lord of Treffelstein.

In 1888 Kleeberg got the bell of the village tower of Treffelstein. It weighed 50 kg, was cast in 1817 and carried a picture of the Magi . Kleeberg was able to save his bell when the bells were handed in during World War I , but in 1942, when all churches had to surrender their bells for war purposes, Kleeberg also lost his bell. Since the Kleebergers did not want to be without a bell, they finally looked for and found a small sacristy bell , which then did its job in Kleeberg for the next few years. Now Kleeberg has a new bell with the picture of the patroness of Bavaria and the inscription "Schütze, gracious our districts, shield our boundaries", weight 25 kg.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Kleeberg was listed as part of the parish of Ast with 8 houses and 47 inhabitants. On December 31, 1990 Kleeberg had 10 residents and belonged to the parish of Treffelstein.
