Sárvár small area

The small area Sárvár ( Hungarian Sárvári kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Vas County in western Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all 32 localities became part of the successor district of Sárvári (Hungarian: Sárvári járás ), which was also strengthened by 10 communities from the small area of ​​Csepreg .

At the end of 2012, 35,721 people lived in an area of ​​601.98 km². The second most populous small area was with a population density of 59 below the county average.

The administrative seat was in Sárvár (14,812). The city of Répcelak was the second most populous place in the small area with 2,659 inhabitants. The remaining 30 rural communities had an average of 608 inhabitants.
