Szombathely small area

The small area Szombathely ( Hungarian Szombathelyi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Vas County until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform in 2013 the small area did not experience any changes in the structure, all 40 localities were completely taken over into the successor district Szombathely (Hungarian Szombathelyi járás ).

Population

At the end of 2012 there were 110,504 inhabitants on an area of ​​646.36 km². The population density of the largest and most populous small area was 171.

The administrative seat was in the capital of the county, Szombathely (77,547 Ew.), Which also has county law. The second most populous place in the small area was the city of Vép (3,323 Ew.). The 38 remaining towns had an average population of 780.
