Narda ( Croatian Narda , German Nahring ) is a Hungarian municipality in the Szombathely district in Vas County . It consists of the districts Nagynarda (Groß Nahring) and Kisnarda (Klein Nahring) and has a large proportion of Croatian population.

Geographical location

Narda is 12 kilometers west of the city of Szombathely and one kilometer east of the border with Austria . The neighboring Hungarian municipalities are Felsőcsatár and Bucsu . The Austrian municipality of Schandorf lies across the border .

history

Narda was created in 1950 through the merger of the two places Nagynarda and Kisnarda .
