Klingande ( Swedish : sounding) is a French music project, which was founded by the students Cédric Steinmyller (* 1990) and Edgar Catry (* 1991) from northern France. In the meantime, however, only Steinmyller appears under the name Klingande .

Career

Steinmyller first worked as a DJ before starting to produce pieces of music in 2008. Catry gained musical experience in piano lessons . In December 2012 they founded the Klingande project. Their recordings spread quickly via online platforms such as YouTube and SoundCloud . At the same time, the duo released their songs Punga and Jubel via digital DIY sales. After a successful launch, the duo received a label contract in German-speaking countries.

With the song Jubel they reached number one in the German and a little later in the Austrian and Swiss singles charts in October 2013. The voice in cheers comes from the sister of a friend of the two DJs. In their home country France they reached fifth place. The title became the most successful French production in Germany since Lambada in 1989.

In spring 2015, the third single Riva with the French singer Broken Back reached high chart positions across Europe. As with Jubel , a music video was shot for the song for better promotion . On February 26, 2016 Klingande released the new single Losing U . The debut album The album was released on November 15, 2019, six years after her first hit jubilation .
