M-22 is a DJ and producer duo consisting of the British Matt James and the German Frank Sanders. The duo met on March 22, 2013 while working in the recording studio, from which their stage name M-22 is derived. They celebrated their breakthrough that same year with their debut single Good To Be Loved .

On March 22, 2013, Matt James and Frank Sanders met during a joint production for Sony Music in Canada. Both hit it off right away and formed a duo.

In April 2015 M-22 released the track Some Time in Great Britain , which climbed to number 6 in the UK Club Charts and was voted "Record of the Week" on the Sarah-Jane Crawford Show ( BBC1 Xtra ). The duo's debut single Good To Be Loved will be released on May 22, 2015. The deep-house-heavy track reached the official single charts in Germany, among others, and climbed into the upper half there. The Barbadian singer-songwriter Jaicko Lawrence , whose vocals were heavily pitched for the song, is involved as the singer .

In late 2015, M-22 took part in Robin Schulz 's album Sugar with the song Love Me Loud . For the Jamaican singer Omi they produced the song Hula Hoop as the follow-up to his number one hit Cheerleader . Overall, they land in the charts in over 20 countries. The duo subsequently produced remixes for artists such as Avicii , Sigala , Sigma , Axwell Λ Ingrosso , Deepend and Sam Feldt . In August 2016 they will also play together with Axwell Λ Ingrosso at the Refune Night label party in Ibiza.

In October 2016, the duo celebrated another great success with their single Somewhere New , which was created in collaboration with Klingande . These achieve gold status in Sweden for 20,000 units sold. There were also appearances at major festivals such as Airbeat One , Ushuaïa and Sputnik Springbreak .

  • Matt James started creating his own sounds at the age of 14. Just two years later he is at the turntables with Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez in one of the biggest British clubs, the Syndicate Blackpool. Shortly afterwards, Ministry of Sound signs him. From then writes and produces songs for artists such as Matt James H Two O .
