Kluse is a location in the west of the Bergisch city of Wuppertal .
Location and description
The location is at an altitude of 267 m above sea level. NHN east of Gräfrather Straße in the residential area of Höhe in the Vohwinkel district . Neighboring locations are Freudenberg , Engelshöhe , Schlüssel , Halbenberg , Oberbracken , Bies , Dasnöckel and Roßkamp as well as Piepersberg and Haus Grünewald in Solingen .
history
Kluse was created before 1824 as a split with eight hectares of bracken .
The location is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as 'ad Cluse'. Labeled on the map from 1843 as 'Cluse' and from 1892 as 'Kluse'. From the maps from 1963 onwards, Kluse is no longer recorded. A snack bar with the name Kluser Grill is reminiscent of this location.
Kluse belonged to the mayor's office of Sonnborn , separated from Haan in 1867 , which was transferred to the municipality of Vohwinkel in 1888, losing territory to Elberfeld .
In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, 20 houses with 180 inhabitants are given.
