View of Haintchen

According to old reports, when the earlier church was built in 1706, opinions were divided about its layout. The lower village wanted to build the church on the Koberg, the upper village at the current location where the parish church of St. Nicholas stands. The timber and building materials were brought up to the Koberg several times. The next day it was back on the Kirchberg.
