The Kohlflössel , also called Kohlflüßchen or Kohlflüßel , is a left-hand tributary of the Waltersdorfer Dorfbach with a length of almost two kilometers in the municipality of Großschönau in the east Saxon district of Görlitz .
description
The stream rises east of the Schwarzes Tor mountain pass in the Zittau Mountains , located between the Weberberg ( 711 m nm ) and the Dreiecker ( 673 m ) . On the upper reaches, the Kohlflössel flows with a steep gradient to the east. In this section it has the character of a mountain stream with a creek bed rich in blocks and suppressed vegetation. Its middle course leads at the northern foot of the Lausche ( 793 m ) through the Eisgasse to the Neue Sorge ; in the north rise the Ottoberg ( 520 m ) and the Sängerhöhe ( 497 m ). On its lower course, the stream takes a north-easterly direction. The Kohlflössel flows into the Waltersdorfer Dorfbach opposite the Schiffnerbank lookout on Butterberg ( 510 m ) in Neuwaltersdorf .
An old pass path used to lead along the Kohlflössel from Waltersdorf through the Eisgasse over the Schwarzes Tor mountain saddle to the Kohlhaugrund in Bohemia.
