The Lausur (formerly also Lauseohr , Lauschebach or Lausebach ; Lužnička in Czech ) is a right-hand tributary of the Mandau with a length of 13.6 km.

course

Its source is south of the town of Krásná Lípa ( Schönlinde ) at the Rybniště ( Teichstatt ) houses belonging to Chřibská Nová Ves ( Kreibitz-Neudörfel ) in Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic . The entire stretch of the brook runs in an easterly direction and forms the natural border between the Lusatian Mountains and the North Bohemian Netherlands .

The reservoir Rybnišťský velký rybník ( Bernsdorfer Pond ) is the largest standing body of water in the Okres Děčín with 36 hectares and was declared a nature reserve in 1982 because of its fauna and flora.

Below the reservoir the valley is densely populated, some of the elongated villages are Horní Podluží ( Upper Ground ) and Dolní Podluží ( Lower Ground ), here the Lausur flows from Lesné ( Innocent village ) to the Lesenský potok ( Goldflössel ). Behind Dolní Podluží, the Lausur flows into Germany near Herrenwalde . Its lower course leads past Neuschönau to Großschönau , where the brook below the Hutberg flows into the Mandau.
