The Commodore Rolin was a pilot station ship that was stationed in the Elbe estuary . She was the first of six ships of the same type ( Commodore Rolin class ) which were stationed in the mouths of the Elbe, Weser / Jade and Ems waters . The Commodore Rolin was built in 1958 at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg .

The ship was owned by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) and operated by Lotsbetriebsverein e. V. Branch office Cuxhaven .

The Commodore Rolin was established in September 2000 as the first pilot station ships in the North Sea decommissioned and first in Rendsburg launched . In 2001 the ship was sold to the Bremen company Van Laaten & Kulenkampff GmbH , which traded in used equipment from shipyards and port facilities . It was then stored under the name of Kommodore in the fishing port in Bremerhaven before it was finally scrapped at the Elsflether shipyard by early 2006 .
