The Krähenbach is a tributary of the Danube on the Baar in the Tuttlingen district in the area of the Obere Donau Nature Park .

course

The Krähenbach rises almost 200 m east of the clay pit in the Haldenwald in the Tuninger district next to a forest path at about 806  m above sea level. NN . From here it flows northeast through the Haldenwald , past a Celtic square hill, under the B 523 and then changes into the corridor of the reed and onto the Talheimer district. Here, after reaching its northernmost point, it soon turns to the southeast and, after exiting a narrow corridor next to the K 5919, takes on the Zimmerthälebach from the right before the village of Talheim . The Greutgraben joins less than 200 m from the left . On the other side of the stream there are two lakes, the second being a bathing lake. Soon afterwards the Lachengraben flows towards it from the right , whereupon it cuts through Talheim, where the Röhrenbrunnenbach flows into it from the right, and the Krähenbach then turns east.

Behind the upper mill, outside the village soft area, he is heading south-east again, accompanied by the K 5944 and the main road on his right. It now enters a valley traversed by forest slopes, flows past the Götzenlocher Hof on the left and the Untere Mühle on the right below the former Klingenberg Castle , which is located on the Reisenberg , whereupon the main road changes to its left side of the valley below the Sommerberg . After a few other shorter tributaries, it runs through the Eßlingen district of the large district town , now in the Tuttlingen area . Then a former Mühlkanal branches off to the left for a good kilometer, which flows back before the Eßlinger Mühle. This point is located right below a saddle, where you cross left into the valley of the Elta , which is only 600 meters away from the Krähenbach , and over which the main road leaves the valley.

At the Eßlinger Mühle, which is located below Konzenberg Castle , the Tiefentalbach flows across from both of them from the right , which flows through the Eßlinger Tiefental , a Waldtalbach in the Möhringer Berg , whereupon the Krähenbach continues south-southeast. Further down the valley, a reservoir takes up almost the entire width of the valley floor. Since the creek was renatured, it has passed it to the right and then meanders through the so-called Bächetal before reaching the northern edge of the settlement of Möhringen . Then it flows through the Tuttlinger district located in the estuary bay and in the left Donauaue, where a body of water flows through the Kühltal from the right . Immediately afterwards it flows into about 644  m above sea level. NN after a run of 16.3 km from the left over a small delta into the Danube .

Especially in summer, when the Danube sinks almost completely into the ground between Immendingen and Möhringen , the Krähenbach is the first water supplier after the Danube infiltration .
