Tie Man of the Year

The tie man of the year title is an honor in the German advertising industry that has been awarded since 1965 by the German Tie Institute based in Krefeld , which is now part of the German Fashion Institute .

Every year, the award goes to a public man who stylishly staged the tie with his appearance . For a time, this honor was organized by the city of Krefeld as part of the street fashion show.

In 2003, the jury awarded several people, namely the Borussia Mönchengladbach team , the title of “Tie Man of the Year” for the first time, as they had always shown themselves in public with a tie.

Unofficial tie man

Of the Greens was Otto Schily named "Tie Man of the Year" 1984th The German Tie Institute, however, had nothing to do with it.
