The district of Devecser ( Hungarian Devecseri járás ) is a district in the north of the Hungarian county of Veszprém . It borders in the north on the Pápa district , in the east and south on the Ajka district , in the south on the Sümeg district and in the east on the Celldömölk district ( Vas county ).

history

In the course of the Hungarian administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, all 27 municipalities from the Devecser small area ( Devecseri kistérség in Hungarian ) were taken over into the successor group of the same name. The new district was expanded to include a municipality from the Ajka suburb .

Community overview

The district of Devecser has an average municipality size of 514 inhabitants on an area of ​​15.06 square kilometers. The population density of the poorest district is the lowest in the county and does not even reach half of the county value of 77. The district seat is in the only town, Devecser , in the southeast of the district.
