Ajka small area
The Ajka small area ( Hungarian Ajkai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1, small area ) within Veszprém County in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, it was almost completely transferred to the subsequent Ajka district (in Hungarian Ajkai járás ); the municipality Bakonypölöske was assigned to the district Pápa (Hungarian Pápai járás ), the municipality Noszlop the district Devecser (Hungarian Devecseri járás ).
At the end of 2012, 40,141 inhabitants lived in the small area of Ajka on an area of 355.76 km². With 113 inhabitants / km² the population density was well above the county average (78 inhabitants / km²).
The administrative seat was in the only city, Ajka . (29.048 Ew.).
