Várpalota small area

The small area Várpalota ( Hungarian Várpalotai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Veszprém County in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform, the small area was transferred to the following district of Várpalota (Hungarian Várpalotai járás ) at the beginning of 2013 , to which the municipality of Vilonya from the small area Veszprém was assigned.

At the end of 2012, 36,814 people lived in the small area of ​​Várpalota on an area of ​​280.78 km². The small area had the highest population density in the county with 131 inhabitants / km² .

The administrative seat was in Várpalota .
