Várpalota small area
The small area Várpalota ( Hungarian Várpalotai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Veszprém County in Central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform, the small area was transferred to the following district of Várpalota (Hungarian Várpalotai járás ) at the beginning of 2013 , to which the municipality of Vilonya from the small area Veszprém was assigned.
At the end of 2012, 36,814 people lived in the small area of Várpalota on an area of 280.78 km². The small area had the highest population density in the county with 131 inhabitants / km² .
The administrative seat was in Várpalota .
Localities
The small area was divided into two cities, one large municipality and four municipalities:
- Cities: Berhida (5.917 Ew.) And Várpalota (20.307 Ew.)
- Large municipality: Pétfürdő (4.775 Ew.)
- Municipalities: Jásd , Ősi , Öskü and Tés
