Veszprém small area
The small area Veszprém (Hungarian Veszprémi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Veszprém county in central Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, it was mainly transferred to the following district of Veszprém (Hungarian Veszprémi járás ), two localities were assigned to the district of Balatonalmádi (Hungarian: Balatonalmádi járás ) and the municipality of Vilonya to the district of Várpalota (Hungarian: Várpalotai járás ).
At the end of 2012, 82,551 inhabitants lived in the small area on an area of 643.75 km². The small area had with 128 inhabitants / km² after Várpolata the second highest population density and had the highest population in the county.
The administrative seat was in Veszprém , which is considered a city with county rights ( megyei jogú város ).
