history

The first documentary mention comes from the year 1246 as "Crempendorf". The Angerdorf is probably of purely Germanic origin.

Before 1816 the place belonged to the Pritzwalkischer Kreis in the Prignitz of the Mark Brandenburg and then came to the district of Ostprignitz in the administrative district of Potsdam in the province of Brandenburg . In 1860 Krempendorf had a district size of 5343  acres , of which 4083 acres were arable, 590 acres pasture, 300 acres forest, 280 acres meadow, 60 acres homesteads and 30 acres peat. In 1900 the settlement was called a village and the municipality of Krempendorf included 3 mines, the Stolpe colony and the Waldhof estate . In 1931 the residential areas Jagdhaus, Stolpe and Waldhof belonged to the municipality, the size of the district was 1592 hectares and a total of 70 houses were counted. From 1952 the place was part of the Pritzwalk district in the Potsdam district . In 1964 and 1973 the community was recorded with the districts of Stolpe and Waldhof. The previous hunting lodge was no longer mentioned. In 1993, Krempendorf became part of the newly created district of Prignitz and the district court of Perleberg was responsible here.
