geography

The “Marienfließ” nature reserve is located in the north of the municipality . The Stepenitz flows through the municipality .

Community structure

The districts of Frehne , Jännersdorf , Krempendorf and Stepenitz , the inhabited districts of Kuwalk and Neu Redlin and the residential area of Stolpe belong to the Marienfließ community .

history

Frehne, Jännersdorf, Krempendorf and Stepenitz belonged to the Ostprignitz district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Pritzwalk district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Brandenburg district of Prignitz.

The community came into being on December 31, 2001 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities of Frehne, Jännersdorf, Krempendorf and Stepenitz.
