Hugo von Graevenitz
Hugo Friedrich Leo von Graevenitz (born August 24, 1822 in Frehne ; † September 5, 1911 in Silmersdorf ) was a German administrative lawyer and manor owner in the Kingdom of Prussia and from 1867 to 1871 a member of the Reichstag .
Life
origin
Hugo was the son of the director of the Prignitz knighthood Wilhelm von Graevenitz (1789-1860) and his wife Wilhelmine, nee Neuhauß (1792-1887).
Career
Graevenitz was the owner of the Frehne manor in Prignitz . He attended the Roßleben monastery school and studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1842 he became active in the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . He then worked at the Magdeburg Higher Regional Court and at the government in Liegnitz . From 1848 he was district administrator of the Hirschberg district .
From 1852 to 1854, from 1855 to 1858, from 1859 to 1862 and from 1866 to 1873 Graevenitz was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the constituency of Breslau 4 ( Namslau , Brieg ) in the Reichstag of the North German Confederation . As a result, he was also a member of the Customs Parliament . He belonged to the Conservative Party .
family
Graevenitz married Marie Freiin von Oelsen (* 1838) on May 15, 1858 . The marriage had seven children.
