geography

The community is located about 16 kilometers northeast of Pritzwalk and about 16 km northwest of Wittstock / Dosse in the northeast of the Prignitz district. The river Dömnitz has its source in the municipality . The elevations in the municipality reach heights of over 150 meters above sea level in the northwest. NHN .

Community structure

The municipality of Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf includes the inhabited parts of the municipality Bruges , Ellershagen , Halenbeck , Rohlsdorf and Warnsdorf as well as the residential areas Bruges-expansion and Ellershagen expansion .

history

Halenbeck and Rohlsdorf belonged to the Ostprignitz district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Pritzwalk district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Both places have been in the Brandenburg district of Prignitz since 1993.

In 1962, Bruges and Warnsdorf were incorporated into Halenbeck.

The municipality of Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf was created on December 31, 2001 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Halenbeck and Rohlsdorf.

In the municipality of Bruges there is a stone church from the 19th century, which is to be regarded as the first work of the Prussian architect Reinhold Persius .

traffic

Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf is on the state roads L 154 between Pritzwalk and Freyenstein and L 155 to Pritzwalk. The B 103 between Meyenburg and Pritzwalk runs west of the municipality.

The A 24 Berlin – Hamburg runs south of the municipality . It can be reached via the Putlitz and Meyenburg junctions .

Bruges (Prign) train station is on the Neustadt – Meyenburg railway line . It is served by the regional train line RB 74 Pritzwalk –Meyenburg.
