Kris Thackray (born April 27, 1988 in Newcastle ) is an English football player .

Career

Thackray moved to Reggina Calcio in 2006 . For the 2008/09 season he moved to the professional team, where he was only loaned until 2010. His positions included the US Ancona. Here he played in Serie B from 2009 to 2010 . He made his debut for Ancona on September 22, 2009, the 6th matchday. In the 0-1 defeat against ASD Gallipoli , he was substituted on in the 48th minute. He also played a game in the Coppa Italia against AC Lumezzane . The game ended 2: 3, so Ancona was eliminated in the third round.

After further loan positions, Thackray moved to Malta for the 2012/13 season to Qormi, in the Maltese Premier League . He secured relegation with Qormi in the relegation round. He also moved into the final of the Maltese Cup with his club . Qormi lost the final 3-1 to Hibernian's Paola . For the 2013/14 season , Thackray moved to Germany to Alemannia Aachen in the fourth-class regional league; after two years he left the club. Thackray joined KFC Uerdingen 05 for the 2015/16 season .

Thackray played with KFC for two years in the Oberliga Niederrhein before being promoted to the Regionalliga West in the 2016/17 season . During this time he made 46 appearances and two hits, and he also played four games in the Niederrheinpokal .

In the 2017/18 season he did not play a single role at KFC in the Regionalliga West. At Thackray's request, his contract with the KFC was terminated with immediate effect on November 30, 2017. He then kicked first in Malta at Gzira United and reached the Europa League qualification with the team . On July 1, 2018, he finally joined the English sixth division side Spennymoor Town FC. A year later he moved to the seventh division Morpeth Town.
