Kristian Pech (actually: Werner Christian Pech ; born September 14, 1946 in Frankenthal / Oberlausitz ) is a German writer .

Life

Kristian Pech learned the trade of agricultural technician , later worked as a trainee at the Sächsische Zeitung in Dresden and studied from 1967 to 1969 in the journalism section in Leipzig (without qualification, for restrictive reasons a so-called leave of absence was given in production ). For example, in the summer of 1968 he took part in the illegal motorboat reading on the Elsterstausee in Leipzig (Leipzig reservoir reading ) , which was suggested by Siegmar Faust and dedicated to the Prague Spring . He then worked as a brewery worker , freelance author, managing director of a Cottbus city ​​council, caretaker and again as a freelance author. He lives in Döbern / Niederlausitz .

In 1997 he became a member of the PEN Center Germany .

Kristian Pech has published poetry , poetry translations (mainly from Sorbian and Russian ) and short prose .
