Krywtsche ( Ukrainian Кривче ; Russian Кривче Kriwtsche , Polish Krzywcze ) is a village (Ukr. Selo ) in Borshchiv Raion of Oblast Ternopil in western Ukraine .
The place is located about 100 kilometers southeast of the oblast capital Ternopil and 12 kilometers southeast of the Rajons capital Borschtschiw on the river Zyhanka ( Циганка ). It forms the district council of the same name Krywtsche.
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1650, was initially in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania , Podolian Voivodeship and in 1772 came as Krzywcze to the then Austrian crown land of Galicia . Between 1810 and 1815 it was briefly part of the Russian Empire within the Tarnopol district and then came back into Austrian hands. From 1867 he was incorporated in the Galician district of Borszczów . The place here had the status of a market town, but lost it after 1918. During the Austrian period, the place was divided into the 2 districts Krzywcze Górne Miasto and Krzywcze Górne Wieś , after 1918 both districts were combined to Krzywcze Górne, after 1945 the until then independent village Krzywcze Dolne united with the present place.
After the end of World War I the place to come Polish Republic (in the province Tarnopol , Powiat Borszczow, Gmina Krzywcze Górne), was in World War II from 1939 to 1941 by the Soviet Union and then to 1944 by Germany occupied and here in the district of Galicia incorporated .
After the end of the war, the village was added to the Soviet Union , where the village became part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of the independent Ukraine since 1991.
The Kryvche Castle is located in the village . The complex, which is largely in ruins today, was built between 1639 and 1650.
