Kyle Helms (born April 21, 1986 in Cambridge , Ontario ) is a Canadian - German ice hockey player who has been playing in the major league at MEC Hall 04 since 2019 .

Career

Kyle Helms began his career as a hockey player at the Streetsville Derbys, for which he was active in the 2003/04 season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. In the 2007/08 season , the attacker made his debut in professional ice hockey for EV Landsberg from the 2nd Bundesliga . He then played for two years for their league rivals EV Ravensburg before he received a contract for the 2010/11 season with the Hamburg Freezers from the German Ice Hockey League in January 2010 . However, due to an injury, he was not licensed for the DEL and his contract was terminated in August 2010.

In October 2010 Helms was signed by the DEL promoted EHC Munich , where he immediately prevailed in the top German division. In a total of 37 games he scored eleven goals and gave five assists and reached the pre-playoffs with his team, in which the team was defeated by the Kölner Haien . For the 2011/12 season, the left shooter moved within the DEL to the Augsburg Panthers . From the 2013/14 season he played for in the DEL2 ascended EC Bad Nauheim , after the season 2015/16 he left Bad Nauheim and he moved to the Heilbronner Falken in the DEL2. After three years in Heilbronn, he accepted an offer from the top division MEC Halle 04 during the summer break of 2019 .
